WORSHIP SERVICE
At Galilee, we worship using Setting 9 of the liturgy, as found in Evangelical Lutheran Worship (ELW).

BRING YOUR BIBLES TO WORSHIP
You are invited to bring your Bible to Galilee to follow along with the scripture passages as they are read during the worship service. Bibles are also available in the narthex. The New Revised Standard Version (NRSV) is read at our services, but you may have a different version that speaks to you.
The Saint Paul Area Synod's initiative "Book of Faith: Lutherans Read the Bible", encourages us to look to Scripture to ground us and renew our commitment to God's word.

DAILY BREAD
A message from Pastor Baumgartner:
Spiritual growth in the Christian faith includes an engagement with the Word of God. All believers, whether life-long Christians or new believers, need to be nourished by God’s Word on a daily basis, just as we need to eat food each day for the nourishment of our bodies. Through December 2010, we at Galilee Lutheran Church will engage the Word together by reading two chapters per week from either the Gospel of Luke or the Book of Acts. Blessings to you as the Holy Spirit works in your heart through the Word, which is the bread of life.

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION SCHEDULE
GLOW (GALILEE LIVE ON WEDNESDAY) - Wednesdays at 5:30 PM starting on July 14
SUNDAY SCHOOL - Classes will resume in September
SUNDAY FORUM - Forums will resume in September
BIBLE STUDY - Thursdays at 10:45 AM. The texts for the coming Sunday will be the focus of each week’s study. Please bring a bag lunch.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL - VBS will be held in conjunction with GLOW again this year and is scheduled for August 9-13. More information will be available as planning progresses.
USHERING SCHEDULE
Attention Ushers: The Ushering Schedule is posted here for your convenience. If you are scheduled for a service that you are unable to attend, please try to find a substitute. Notify the church secretary at 651-488-6769 by the Thursday before the usher change so that she can insert the correct name in the bulletin.
ALTAR GUILD SCHEDULE
The Altar Guild Schedule is posted here for your convenience. If you are unable to serve during your scheduled week, please find a substitute and notify the church secretary at 651-488-6769 by the Thursday before the worship service so that she can insert the correct Altar Guild member name in the bulletin.
